Neck pain is leading cause of pain and increasing day by day. In older people it is due to age related degeneration of spine. While in younger people, it is increasing due to prolonged office/ desk job, laptop or mobile use, fast lifestyle or lack of exercise.
Alternating an ice pack with heat, several times a day for 30 minutes, gentle stretching and massage may help to relieve neck pain. Gentle exercise and good posture may also help to prevent it. Pain relievers such as paracetamol and ibuprofen may also be useful.
